Procurement Desk: we negotiate the contract, not just the price
For teams spending $10,000+ a month on GPU clusters, bare-metal fleets or colocation. We run the bid against your current contract, negotiate rate and terms with the finalists, redline the clauses that decide what a bad month costs you, and watch every renewal after you sign.
Providers bid blind against your spec. Your name, email and company stay with us until you pick a winner. We never forward your files.
How an engagement runs
- 1
Baseline
You share invoices, contracts or renewal notices (redact what you like). We turn your current setup into a 36-month cost and agree that baseline with you in writing before any quote arrives.
- 2
Blind bids
At least three providers quote against the spec, term and region. They do not see who you are. Your current provider can bid too.
- 3
Scorecard
Every bid on the same 36-month footing, with three recommendations: lowest total cost, best SLA and network, fastest delivery. Staying where you are is on the sheet when it is the cheapest honest answer.
- 4
Negotiation
We take the finalists through rate and terms with the competing bids as leverage, including your incumbent if you would rather stay.
- 5
Redlines
The clauses above are marked up before you sign, from the same checklist that closes every scorecard. You sign direct with the provider.
- 6
Renewals
Every contract goes on Renewal Guard, so the next renewal starts with fresh bids 90 and 60 days out instead of a price-increase email.
What we negotiate
Price is one line of the contract. These are the clauses that decide what a bad month, a failed node or a renewal actually costs.
Rate and price lock
12 to 36 month price locks, caps on annual increases, and renewal at the contracted rate rather than whatever the list says that month.
SLA credits
The actual credit formula, the claim window and the monthly credit cap, written out. A generous uptime percentage with a low cap is worth little.
Hardware replacement
Committed hours to replace a failed drive, PSU or GPU, and no billing for a node while it is down.
Delivery
A delivery date in writing for reserved capacity, and what you get if it slips: credits, a substitute, or the right to walk.
Expansion
The right to add nodes or servers at the same rate during the term, so growth does not reopen the price.
Hidden line items
Setup fees, extra IPv4, egress over the included allowance, RAID and OS licensing, DDoS tiers: waived, capped or at least priced up front.
Exit
Early termination terms, assignment, and data deletion at the end of the term.
What it costs
You switch providers
$0
The provider you pick pays our placement commission. It never changes their price or the ranking.
You stay at a negotiated price
30%
of documented first-year savings against the written renewal ask, charged after you sign. Renewal Desk terms.
No counter-quote possible
$5k to $25k
A flat fee agreed in writing before work starts. Nothing is owed without that agreement.
Written down in the engagement letter you sign first. We never take both a fee from you and a commission from the provider on the same contract. How we make money.
Questions
Who is the Procurement Desk for?
Teams spending $10,000 or more a month on GPU, dedicated or colocation infrastructure, or about to. Below that, standard sourcing runs the same blind bid and scorecard without negotiation rounds.
What does it cost?
Nothing when the provider you pick pays our placement commission: that is most switches. If you keep your current provider at a price we negotiated, the Renewal Desk success fee applies: 30% of documented first-year savings against the written renewal ask, charged after you sign, with the calculation shown first. Where no counter-quote is possible, a flat fee of $5,000 to $25,000 agreed in writing before work starts, or nothing is owed. We never take both a fee from you and a commission from the provider on the same contract.
Do you replace our lawyers?
No. We negotiate commercial terms: price, SLA credits, replacement times, price locks, delivery and expansion. Legal review of the contract stays with your counsel.
Can our current provider bid?
Yes. Sometimes the best result is your current provider matching a competing bid, and the fee rules above are the same.
Do you sign contracts on our behalf?
No. You sign direct with the provider you pick. The engagement letter you sign with us covers only our work and the fee rules.
Who sees our details?
Only our desk. Providers quote against the technical spec, term and region; your name, company, contact details and files stay with us until you pick a winner.
Send the contract you want to beat
Invoices, renewal notices or a spec. We agree the baseline with you first, then make providers bid against it.
