Questions
Does the OVHcloud increase hit servers I already run?
Yes, at renewal: from October 1, 2026 an installed server renews at the new base price, with RAM options up 20% (Gen 2024) or 40% (Gen 2026) and storage options up 10% or 15%. New orders of the same configuration pay more: a median 127% more on RAM options from September 1, 2026. Kimsufi, So you Start, Rise and generations before Gen 2024 were not repriced.
Does the Hetzner June 15 change hit my existing server?
No. The June 15 standardization applies to new orders: custom builds were replaced by fixed -1/-2/-3 configurations, and CCX13 went from €15.99 to €42.99. Existing servers keep their configuration and price. The April 1, 2026 adjustment did apply to existing products: cloud +30 to 37% (US and Singapore locations up to +38%), dedicated +3 to 21%, storage +30%.
Where does the counter-quote band come from?
Published list prices for a comparable class of server at the providers we track, each with its source and the date we verified it, with any setup fee spread over 36 months. It is what the market lists today, not a quote. The blind RFP is how we find out what providers will actually bid for your spec.
Why 36 months?
Because setup fees, promotional cliffs and escalators only show up over a full term. Every quote we return is normalized the same way, so the renewal ask and the bids compare like for like.
Now make 3+ providers bid against that number
Upload the renewal notice or invoice. Providers bid blind; staying is on the scorecard as a valid answer.
